Lucy and Erin

Sarah was my midwife when I was expecting my daughter, Erin, and I was pretty terrified by the whole idea of labour. She was fantastic - talking me through it beforehand and giving me some techniques to prepare. When the inevitable came she was with me throughout my labour and I genuinely don't think it would have been as good an experience without her - knowing I had someone there the whole time who was looking out for me (and seeing me not just as a numbered patient who would come and go, but as me) was such a boost. I knew I could relax and focus on what I needed to do, without worrying. My husband and I have spoken about that night many times and we will never forget Sarah's support - I've told her that Erin's birthday is also 'Sarah March' day in our house!
And of course, Sarah's expertise in breastfeeding is also immense. I had real problems at the beginning and Erin ended up losing quite a bit of weight but Sarah spotted a tongue tie that no-one else had, and she sorted it.
I don't want to be too over the top as I appreciate people may not believe me, but I really do think Sarah is amazing at what she does.
She's experienced, professional, friendly and considerate. What more could anyone want?
